With the snap general election having just been announced, Wordlife will be running an event exploring poetry, politics and activism. There will be an open mic for poets to perform their own work, followed by longer sets from featured performers such as Gerry Potter. Gerry has a reputation for putting his Scouse voice on the line in a soaring sing-song accent, strong on poetry and strong on the causes of poetry. Creator and destroyer of the infamous gingham diva Chloe Poems, Gerry’s new work is very different to his alter ego, though no less passionate.
